Autogenous

This process has a long tradition in the field of metal processing. Autogenous processes are mainly used for gas welding and flame cutting, but also for preheating, heating and straightening of various metals. In the oxyfuel process, the gases acetylene and oxygen are mostly used.

Forming

Forming ensures the shielding of the seam root during welding with a shielding gas. The aim is to minimise or prevent tarnish and discolouration in the welding area. Only nitrogen or hydrogen mixtures are therefore used as forming gas. However, inert gases such as argon or nitrogen can also be used for forming. Learn more >>

Metal active gas welding

Metal active gas welding (MAG) is a welding process in which mainly active gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide or hydrogen are used with argon as the base gas. Metal inert gas welding 

Metal inert gas welding (MIG) is a welding process using inert gases such as argon and helium. The shielding gas has the task of shielding the resulting arc from the surrounding air. In the MIG welding process, the filler material is fed from the coil to the torch as a wire electrode. Tungsten inert gas welding

Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) is a welding process in which inert or quasi-inert gases such as argon or helium and their mixtures are used. The advantage of TIG welding is that particularly high qualities can be achieved with this process. TIG is a manufacturing process with a non-melting tungsten electrode. The filler metal is fed via a wire. The protection of the melt is ensured by inert gases such as argon, helium and their mixtures. More information >>

Laser

Laser welding permits more targeted heat input, less distortion and a higher welding speed than conventional welding methods.

Laser welding usually requires industrial gases such as argon, helium, carbon dioxide, oxygen and nitrogen. In laser welding, helium and helium-containing shielding gases with argon and/or oxygen content are used.
